Where the footwear, we wear ,are sold in AC showrooms, but vegetables, that we eat, are sold on the footpath,
Where everybody wants to be famous but nobody wants to follow the path to be famous,
Where we make lemon juices with artificial flavours and dish wash liquids with real lemon.
Where people are standing at tea stalls reading an article about child labour from a newspaper and say,”yaar bachhonse kaam karvane wale ko to phansi par chadha dena chahiye” and then they shout “Oye chhotu 2 chaii laao…..”
Students with 45% get in elite institutions thru quota system and those with 90% get out because of merit.
2 IPL teams are auctioned at 3300 crores and we are still a poor country where people starve for 2 square meal per day.

Assembly complex buildings are getting ready within one year while public transport bridges alone take several years to be completed.

In the above lines,finally I have just one thought for many years now….This is just my thought and is not intended to hurt anyone’s or any faith’s feeling

Though being born in a Hindu family but presently being an atheist….I had this rational thought

The food/other useful materials which is being used for Abhisheka finally drains out of the Garba Griha through a drain passage….the amount of food used in these lavish celebrations are often huge and may run from a few thousands to even crores….

In this poor country where still people starve for 2 square meal per day does these food items deserve to be wasted……? God gives the food for people and why can’t we distribute it evenly to all……..and the funniest point as well as the most critical point to be noted is we, humans are actually wasting the food thinking that it will cool the heart of God…Atleast this is what I heard when I asked y God needs abhisheka?

For illustration…..let me take a simple example…..from this page

Some of the common items used for Shiva Abhisheka are

1. Curd

2. Milk

3. Honey

4. Tender Coconut Water

5. Vibhuti (holy ash)

6. Panchamrut (Curd based delicacy consisting of Panch(5) items: Milk, Honey, Ghee (clarified butter), Honey, Bananas)

7. Bananas

8. Sandalwood Paste

9. Ghee (Clarified butter)

A usual abhisheka does has all these foods going down the drain…..:( Imagine the quantity when the abhisheka is performed on a larger scale….

India is far more better than the African Nations where still the poorest people live in the most extreme conditions of life……While seeing African poor starving from hunger, my eyes drop a tear..

..my heart asks me why should I fly across the ocean to Africa for seeing such scenes in life…..Just step out of your Air conditioned room/office and you will still see a lot of poor people around you on the Indian streets…….

Finally it all boils down to one single point………from Indian hoteliers who own even wholesome islands jotting on the earth surface to middle class people who make the former so rich……life remains the same…All we need is just a change in mind and its thought process……..

Does n’t these two names has something in comm’n?…..This is the first question I had in my mind while flying(was actually travelling in MRTS(Mass Rapid Transit System) which in tamil translates to Flying train(poor translation, atleast this is what I could see in all those station message hoardings) across the MA Chidambaram Stadium today …

Running all this in my mind…..”Che” + “pauk”—– putting aside “Che” for now, “pauk” is a common suffix for places in and around Chennai …for Non-Chennai guys…dropping some names …iyapakkam,thamarai pakkam,Shen paakkam and the famous pattina pakkam which is nothing but the beach facing side of Santhome………..

Coming back to the story…..I wanted to know somehow the link of Che and our local Chepauk…Did Che made to visit to Chennai.?.with my little understanding of history…..quizzed over the communist/socialist parties and their influence on this part of India…a sudden thud from the back……sir…..vazhi vidunga sir…….(translates to Sir .. give way..) oh gosh…….I too have to get off the train at this station….arae…….hold on hold on…no…..i am finally down on platform…….Made it a point to search in WWW..and found
“pauk” came from “bagh” which means garden and “Che” means Six …..considering Chepauk is full of govt offices and universities which are in fact sorrounded by tall trees and greenery…

so from what iyapakkam,thamarai pakkam,Shen paakkam and pattina pakkam came ????/////////////

finally I have one more question//// Che the same as in “Che”nnai….aha//////

Myself a mad guy on temple archi…….i will just visit any temple just for its beauty….its pillars……its built…..its stones which speak for the labor put beneath and behind them…..

Would recommend 2(number may increase in future) temples for those who are like me….

Combodia’s Angkor Wat

Made it to Avudayar koil some yrs back and literally I had to be forced out of temple….would have settled there……Such a awesome whole structure…….

yet to make it to Angkor Wat……..surely will visit one day…

Got a snap to share with you all…….

Was travelling in a lazy boxy compartment (remembering Anthony Robbins for his mention of our life as a boxy life) en route to Kovilpatti, hmm I will call it a windy city….. a cool wind just brushing my face round the clock once I entered it……. the reason of my tour to this windy city is two of my team mates getting engaged :O……yeah..they were in love for slightly less than a year without our knowledge……and me the most stupid idiot…….coz i am the one who sits next to Mr.Oracle goaler…..if u just scroll down long enough in my intro post, i would have mentioned about a guy who wished to join Oracle corp and here is the guy who fell in love with a fella sweet gal……..

And now all the way to this tiny city situated at a height of around 850mts above sea level….the train was very very lazy stopping every half hour for the train in the opposite direction to pass through…please dont ever take that some highly placed minister or the honourable POI is in the opposite train….just one track all along the journey and hence our’s has to leave space for the opposite one to pass through….and there comes this wonderful shot I took in the adjacent track

hia guys…. a lot happened in all these lonely days of my life..purchased a book titled

“how to talk to anyone” by Leil Lowndes

in work, moved to a technical role ..more to a part of the supply chain domain….planning to do APICS Certification and as a first step bought books for the first paper…but need to share some time for study.

some observations on relationships tho may not be true

we should never ever weigh a person based on his/her appearance,maturity of talk and / or facial responsiveness

we should never ever rake in a person’s past(school/college/neighborhood) just because they did something wrong how much ever may be the consequences of their mistake

at last never talk bad or negatively or sarcastically about one’s previous work

these are some observations which I noticed in the new team which must be avoided in the work environment for a conducive atmosphere of cooperative work….

even a slight disturbance made to any one of these will certainly and for sure affect the person’s mind and the tendency of them talking to us will get bleak

Not so many days passed since my last post

Had a very great plan for the days in home for preparing to my career aspirations but unfortunately my pratice head revoked my sabatical and all my plans washed away and now in office doing my favourite work interacting and making new business one friend too hinted that fortunately or unfortunately i am getting in to that sorta of work ; his suggested job for me is a Business analyst though i’m not much interested in it/

got this interesting post to share… since the days my sabatical revoked and assigned sales work, have been taking bath under the tropical sun in sweat and contributing my little to the state run buses which will be brimming with people while I start for office. last week the bus which i took was with people from all walks of life, college girls, students, clerks, labourers just tweaking out of the little space. as the bus started got a ticket and got a place on the foot board to travel. never in my life had i travelled in this way and being a first timer, got enough fresh air to dry off my body from the open’d doors which should have been closed. as the time passed peeped in to the bus to check for any beauties but one girl crossed my sight… looked for some time but virtually lost interest on observing to find the girl is not that much beautiful but having full ego over her beauty.

had a anglo indian face cut with an elongated jaws ….. colored hair, brownie which blended nicely with her face complexion, in the front which passed along the eye brows ending at the ears . eyes were sparkling but full of superiority which turned me off. Very short but maintained her social status as though is 6′ tall.

“hey man..hold that firmly…otherwise u are surely under the truck wheels” screamed one voice from my back….and as i tried putting a firm hold over the yellow colored rods……… screamed another voice with much more vigour and strength….. stop it stop it…………stop the bus////// and the whole 6 wheeled 1__ capacity mighty(just jokin’) yellow dragon came to a grinding halt….. one man supposedly lost his hold and was about to fall but with the bus coming to a halt, he again caught hold of the same yelloe colored rods and again the travel started…… and quickly we are passing over a rail overbridge and just then, one fine cool breeze freshed up my face from the east and my mind started to remind me of one song from sathya where kamal and amala would be on footboard just forget the ladylove ……everything else is here…..song in my mind, fresh air even with more intensity because of the acceleration of the bus and that too cool..and a good view of the sorrounding area whcih made me feel flying…..and for some 5 minutes I was completely in with that song enjoying the bus travel…..and the time i came out of that, the bus again came to a halt but this time for a traffic signal…..:) and when i shared this with one of my close friend, he just remarked “i have travelled a lot in foot board but never have my mind thought this way….and you are the most romantic person i have ever seen in a strange way”…..

Many months since I scribbled something here…Final Call happened today….Organisational sabatical became effective I feel this is the most humane way possible and the maximum blood that shall be milked out of an already weak tigress ……..this whole concept of comparing my organisation with a tiger came from here ..Our erstwhile Chairman once said “It was like riding a tiger, not knowing how to get off without being eaten” and this was his last communication to the whole world as on this date!

Me too went to office today morning with an expectation that will be pink slipped….but while starting home, saved from being one…..Incidentally today morning sister dropped me for the travel to the office while the same happened on my first day to the same office .

I could nt find my mind in peace anywhere now and all my team mates face just juggled before my mental eye like a fast roller coaster!!!! this is our last day atleast temporarily…

“Freedom means more Responsiblity” said one man not long ago……

“Retainment in an organisation means much more RESPONSIBLITY” ………..I have been with much more heavier responsiblities which involves lives and career of many others too. I feel responsible though I am into a complete different industry presently/ I have taken up Sales work as a part of my responsiblity to bring up my unit full heartedly

But still today evening when we, the remaining few parted away with the majority of our team mates, I could nt just take my palm off my mentor’s hand while shaking hands since I was really upset and mind is out of control and not at all in peace. I always shared a special space with her even in discussing personal matters….Just could n’t get them in the way…….

After Cold sales calls to three Canadian customers , and returning home ,,,,,,,,,walking on the arterial road leading to my house at 22:00…..I find myself nowhere and felt crying for the first time in many years. My girl friend once told “Karthic U are very strong mentally”. I too had that feeling of strong mentality whenever others cry, I will smile and keep going with the problems. But today, before the relationships these hard rock brick stones of the strong mind came down like a pack of cards…But still Made ‘p my mind and didnt spill a tear . Made a resolve to have my mind stronger and accept complete responsiblity and contribute my biggest share to my ailing organisation…..

Not sure of when I ‘ll be back here..but hope soon/ here are a few pictures clicked today

this happened last month and is enacted here as a drama

Scene : a casual conversation between team mates

Location : company bus

Time : 06:35 pm

Actors : K,M,K1,H

K- a software engineer ; M:his mentor;K1:team mate; H:girl working with the HR department

Brief intro about everyone:

starting with the H(female) – this character is too beautiful with a pretty face and a long hair with a big forehead and a cracked teeth, so will not open her mouth to even laugh out loud. makes her movement silently and overall very calm and a charming character. Has impressed K a lot

K1(female) – one of the most good artist with a light heart and takes everything with a smile. not very much hard working and will always sleep if it is office. On monday mornings this character will be a sleeping beauty even if it s a high level meeting in which she should be present, would n’t have come out of the week end blues.

M (female) – best friend in team with whom our K would share everything particularly when it comes to his lady loves.

finally our hero’s grand opening K(male) – YASE/IIM these are two abbrevations that would fit ‘im correctly.

M entered the bus sweating after a hustled walk since it is already late and found to his astonishment that only a few seats were available in the last 2 rows of the bus

followed by him are Ms K1 and Mrs M who too were tensed since it was the last bus to their homes from the office location.

K went on to the last but one row and sat thinking that his two team mates shall get seated behind his place though there is vacancy adjacent to him, and at this very moment, came the Ms Beautiful H, who too entered the bus and searching for a place to get seated.

K : sighting H very seriously and anxiously as there was no place except the few seats adjacent to him

K1 : smiled at K and proceeded on to the last row

M : followed K1 and did not want to go to the last row and hence started the conversation with K

M : Please move on to the window seat so that I shall get seated here

K: did n’t concentrate much on M words as was seriously concentrating on H

M: (got serious) waiting for someone beautiful to give this place (remarked on H)

K:(in a fitting reply) there is no one so beautiful here to give a seat adjacent to me

M (angrily) quickly turned around and found that H to be seated next and gave a sarcastical smile,

K understood, smiled and both K and M saw H whom to their astonishment too was smiling at them particularly @ K!!!

K went to Heaven, never imagined such a thing would happen …………since as already told H would be so beautiful and has overheard the conversation and started smiling at us.

Finally K1 did a small role of spreading this incident to the whole team

From then on H would have an eye on K and K would not revert too much attention !!!!! Life is moving on and will move on with many incidents like this.

It has been so long since I wrote one post here!!!!! Lot of happenings around my work!!!!!

India was rocked on Jan 7 2009 by the revelations of a great businessman, but still I was much more positive and hopeful after that about my work since i work for this concern.

Then slowly, my client started to wash away the IT business outsourced to us….. while I write this post, Still 3 more days remaining to wind off the project!!!! and with no road ahead to move on and standing on a already shaken mud road………but as one of my friends often remarked “LIFE has to move on and all that happens is for good only”………my mind is full of optimism before my client decided to cost cut the services…but now……with this decision I am left with no clear sight ahead………Full of fog blocking my way like a jet caught in middle of air…yesterday night when I was discussing with one of my friends, he remarked us a strandled in the middle of the sea with no way out…..

Then leaving all these worries, saw some good old movies in hte last week… one is The Net which I saw last night and the other is Into the Wild. The latter some what synchronises as I may put it with my thinking that we should live out of this city jungle atleast for some days…….if at all not like the one porttrayed in the film.

The main star of the movie os Emile Hirsch whom I have already seen acting in The Girl Next door. In into the wild, he has matured much and acted with ace. Will never for get this movie for atleast the next few years..

Coming back to the starting point, got some time to make a collage of my appreciations receive in my rough 1+ years in the team
